>Our weeks are busy. I would love nothing more than to sit at home and do homely things like laundry and cooking…Okay maybe not, but I would like not to have things like sports and activities for my children. My kids they are not going to be famous dancers/boy scouts so why do I drive myself crazy driving them to their activities? I do it because I think it’s good for them to not be stuck at home all the time. I on the other hand, love being at home. If I had a Netflix account I would be set for life! Okay maybe not, I need interaction too.
Okay back to why I started this post. Wednesdays are our busy days. Douglas goes to work at 6:00 and doesn’t get back until after 8:30 usually. We do school in the morning and then at 3:30 head out the door for Ella’s ballet. I’m still not sure she likes it. She said this morning she didn’t want to go. She’s very shy and she’s only 4, but I think it’s good for her to be with other little girls dressed up in their little tutus and learn how to stand in line and listen to someone other than her mom. After Ballet, we hop in the car and head for Brennig’s Boy Scouts. I go to the Commissary while Brennig is doing boy scout stuff. We decided this year not to do sports for him. He’s not a sports guy, though I think if swimming were held at a decent time, he would like that, but the swimming lessons always conflict with something. He does like Boy Scouts. Megan is doing English Riding. She loves every second of it!
All that to say on Wednesdays we have our big meal at lunch time and then have sandwiches in the car for supper. Today I tried something from Family Fun Magazine. The kids loved it and I was very glad. We’ve been very bored with cooking lately and this was fun to make. I hate all the clean up though.
>This looks yummy- I love this combo of pasta, mozz, basil and tomatoes, I did it a lot! Thanks!
>Hi, Jonelle. We miss you in Texas!
>hey that sounds great. i am with you. why am i doing this running about with my kids? i can not stand it, but they love it darn it! so i guess that is why. we are headed tonight to gymnastics lessons, for both of the kids. thank goodness that means only one night out a week
