Readings: Psalms 30, 32, 42, 43; Genesis 12:9-13:1; Hebrews 7:18-28; John 4:27-42
As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God. (Psalm 42)
I am so thankful to have had this time to meditate on His word and to see how the Bible speaks of trust God. Over and over we saw, specifically in the Psalms, how David said over and over that his heart is trusting in the steadfast love of God.
Before we can do any business, really before we can do anything in our day, we must trust. We must thirst after God. The John passage for the last few days has told of Jesus and the woman at the well. (4:13-14) Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. This is what David was talking about in the Psalms.
May we thirst after you in every aspect of our lives. May we continue to lean on him and trust him for all things. May we delight in him!
Prayer for my Team: That the Lord would bless with abundance that we might give back to others.
